Historic Barcelona
Visit to the old city center, including the Gothic Quarter, the Cathedral, and a panoramic view of the city and the port from Montjuïc. There is also the possibility of visiting the "Pueblo Español" to stroll through its streets and stores, which are replicas of many other cities and towns in other parts of Spain. Visit to the Olympic installations.

Picasso Museum
The collection in this museum offers a thorough view of Picasso's earliest work, with some of his schoolbook sketches on display and some of his early paintings in Barcelona. Also, many works from later and better-known periods can be seen. The collection is housed in two beautifully preserved Gothic Palaces.

Olympic Barcelona, "The Olympic Ring"
Within the remodelling work, which has given rise to the new Barcelona facing the sea the highest part of the city, the hill of Montjuïc, must be mentioned. There the sports facilities were built, in order to adapt them to the modern conditions demanded by the 1992 Olympic Games.

Montserrat
Situated some sixty kilometers to the west of Barcelona , Catalonia's sacred mountain of Montserrat rises. This is a strange jutting mass of rock, smoothed by wind and rain over thousands of years. Clinging to its steep slopes is a Benedictine monastery. A spiritual beacon to the Catalans, the monastery is dedicated to the Virgin of Montserrat, the dark-skinned patron saint of Catalonia. There will be a singing session by the famous "Escolania" choir.

Codorniu Cellars
The Codorniu wineries are situated 45 Km from Barcelona. They are the largest wineries in the world, having 30 km of cellars on five underground levels .. Codorniu Cellars, center for the production of cava, follow the traditional methods of fermentation and storage in quiet cold caves. The main building is in the style of modernism, and the rest of the modern buildings perfectly blend into the landscape. They are surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Shopping Tour
For those interested, a private transfer will be organized to the main shopping area of the city. In recent years, Barcelona has become well- known for its sophisticated designs in fashion, jewelry, decoration and furniture. This tour will be a good opportunity to see and obtain interesting items. If you reside outside the European Union, you can get your tax back on purchases over 90€ by filling in the appropriate forms and getting them stamped by the customs officers when you leave the country.

Poble Espanyol (The Spanish Village)
The Poble Espanyol was built in 1929, on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona. The grounds got their name, because the site was designed to show the richness and variety of Spanish architecture.

FULL DAY TOURS

Barcelona City Tour
Visit to the old city center, including the Gothic Quarter, the Cathedral, and a panoramic view of the city and the port from Montjuïc. There is the possibility of visiting the "Pueblo Español" to stroll through its streets and stores, which are replicas of many other cities and towns in other parts of Spain. Lunch. In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the Olympic installations and Modernist Barcelona. We will visit Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, the fascinating Güell Park and the Picasso Museum, where works from the artists' different periods and styles can be seen. On the Paseo de Gracia, we will see several modernist houses, such as the Casa Batlló, Lleó Morera and Casa Milá, also known as the Pedrera.

Codorniu Cellars and Sitges
This tour includes a visit to the Codorniu winery, a huge center for the production of cava that follows the traditional methods of fermentation and storage of the sparkling wine in quiet, cold caves, excavated in limestone. After the cellars the guests will visit Sitges, a fashionable beach resort, where one can find a unique blend of sophisticated tourism, having one of the highest densities of artists per square meter on the Mediterranean Coast.

Artists, such as Rusiñol and Utrillo, had already discovered its charm at the end of the XIXth Century. The Cau Ferrat Museum, former residence of Rusiñol, and also the Maricel Museum, display beautiful samples of Catalan modern art. Lunch in Sitges is included in the tour.

Dali Museum
The old theatre of Figueres, the town where Salvador Dalí was born, is now the "Theatre Museum Dalí". After the museum "El Prado" in Madrid, this museum is the most visited in Spain. It contains paintings, sculptures, drawings and sketches by the artist. It is original and spectacular, in keeping with the wonderful personality of the famous surrealist painter. Lunch is included in Roses, a beautiful village situated in a bay, having 3000 years of history. The afternoon is free, in order to see the bay and go shopping before returning to Barcelona.

Monastery of Santes Creus

Monastery of Santes Creus
The Monastery of Santes Creus is situated about 100 km from Barcelona. Cistercian monks that came from France founded it in 1174, and it is a striking example of a convent fortress in Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Nowadays it is mainly used as a historical library and museum. We will have a typical Catalan lunch in Montblanc, a medieval village with an interesting wall. In the afternoon, there will be a visit to a Monastery in Poblet, another Cistercian monastery situated in the same area. Return to Barcelona in the afternoon.

Costa Brava
Tossa de Mar is a very beautiful village located 95 km North from Barcelona. It is very interesting to visit its "Vila Vella" (old city). The old 12th-century part of the village, still preserves its narrow, winding streets of medieval design and is surrounded by a curtain wall. The next stop will be Blanes, the first village of the Costa Brava. We will visit the Botanical Garden that includes many interesting species, and we will stroll through the streets of the town, enjoying the sea. Lunch in Blanes is included.

Romanesque Churches in the Pyrenees
The Catalan Pyrenees are the southern side of this mountain chain. Remote villages lazing in the sun, jagged mountains dotted with lakes, leaping torrents, small romanesque churches nestling in the valleys, the warm mountain people... all of these make a memorable tour.
The significant developments in Romanesque art and architecture in the churches of the Vall de Boí testify the profound cultural interchange across medieval Europe, and in particular, across the mountain barrier of the Pyrenees.
